WELCOME TO MUGGLETEEN

This is MuggleTeen, the first blog of it's kind, run by seven teenagers, about their love for Harry Potter. This supermegafoxyawesomehot blog is wizrock-tastic and full of the ramblings and rantings of me Megan (who is amazing and likes to make fun of Rob even though deep down somewhere he is a good person that she loves), Kate (the person who never posts), Annie (the Doctor lover...well, we all are, but...),Alyssa (who needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one xD), Katie (who also felt she needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one. I am not just 'a person!'), Sam (the anime lover and spider person who should maybe post now, yeah? is Thursday alright? -.-) , and Nicole (who has taken Sam's Spot on Friday and pushed Sam to thursday!) We're all members of the HPEF forums but that doesn't really matter now XD We are extremely excited to share our Potter-ness with the world and we will have many, many posts soon. So, until then, keep on Wizard Rockin'!!!

Bianca!

Lumos!

I'm finally baack! Who missed me?

So, I really have nothing to talk about except for random things in my life, so let's start with that!

1. 50 Books Challenge 2010
Okay, so I found this little challenge on the HarryPotterFanFiction forums, and the title basically says it all. Read 50 books in a year. Anyone in? So far, I've read five. That doesn't really sound like much, but I read about thirty in the summer, so it'll add up pretty quickly. And those five are: Siddhartha (Global thing, don't ask), Little Women, and three out of five Percy Jackson books. Which leads me to my next random point ...

2. Percy Jackson
Oh my freaking God, I'm obsessed. Not Harry Potter obsessed, but I absolutely LOVE this series. For anyone who doesn't know what it's about, a quick summary is that a twelve year old boy finds out he's the son of Poseidon, adventure and hilarity ensue. It incorporates A LOT of Greek Mythology, which is one of my favorite parts of it, besides the possibility of Percy/Annabeth (squee!). I also saw the movie on Sunday, and I thought it was okay. They changed a lot of stuff, which being a Harry Potter fan prepared me for. I'm definitely hoping for the next book to be a movie, but I won't exactly be disappointed if it's not. I'm still looking for the last two books of the series, but otherwise I'd definitely reccomend the first three. As for four and five, let's hope they're good!

3. Nerdfighters Wrock!
It is official, I'm now a Nerdfighter. This one is kind of hard to explain, but just search vlogbrothers on youtube and you'll know how awesome this is. If you're a nerdfighter too, tell me! Yaay!

So, that's all for my random points. If anything more important comes up in my life, I'll post it in the comments. But, for now, onto my weekly segment!

-Kate's Song of the Week
Oh gosh, iTunes is going to take forever to load. Grrr. Here we go! And the song is (hopefully one I actually like) ... You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. Hmmm, not really one of my favorites. Oh well. I don't have much else to say besides that it's a good song, so here's the link: Okay, so this isn't Josh Groban singing it, but it's still the song. Enjoy!

So, the last part of my post, Tasha's pretty epic question. I thought it was a really great question, something that would tell a lot about a person.

Which clique would you be classified into in school and how does this contradict you as an individual?

So, I'm a part of that "clique" that doesn't really have a name. You know the one, the girls who get along with everyone, who aren't really popular but aren't unpopular either. It's a little hard to explain, I hope you get what I'm talking about. I guess I sort of fit into this, except I'm a little on the ... weirder side of the spectrum. For one thing, I'm a complete nerd, as everyone knows. I'm not into to the stuff that other girls my age are, like so-called "normal music" (ew, rap. =P) and I despise Jersey Shore with a passion only outshone by my hatred of Umbridge. I read and write instead of text, I watch shows like Merlin and the Office, and I listen to all sorts of unpopular music (i.e. Classical, musicals, wrock, unknown artists, etc.) But the Harry Potter community has really pushed me into displaying who I truly am. I'm not afraid to tell people I hate everything they hold so dear anymore. It's actually a little jarring when people DON'T know I'm a nerd. So, my dear fandom, thank you for helping me grow as a person as well as letting me meet some totally awesome people, the girls at Muggleteen. =]

So, that's it for me! I'm off to practice for Pit, there's less than a month till the show!

I'm assuming the title is referring to Nico's sister?
I really LOVE Percy Jackson. I'm like the biggest mythology geek in the world so that doesn't hurt.

<3 Nico! I didn't get the title though till I read Nuttynicole's post. Don't worry the last two books are really good! Percy/Annabeth is love.

I'm a nerdfighter too! Win!

Yayy, my question is met with approval! (: & I know what you mean about the fandom; I would not be a fraction of who I am today without it ♥ & the 50 book challenge looks interesting, too... >3>
Pretty post!

Um, actually, it wasn't referring to Bianca di Angelo, but I never thought of that ... Good guess, then! I'll give you a hint: It's in a musical. And Megan, not telling! ;]

@Nicole: I love Mythology, too! Granted I only learned about it when we did a unit on it in English, but I think I was one of the few who actually enjoyed. I may have been the only one, actually. XD What's your favorite story?

I've always liked the one about Demeter and Persephone. That's why it makes me mad that my friend told me in the Percy Jackson movie, Persephone is in the Underworld in the summer because that's just wrong.
I also love the Odyssey. (I read a book version of it- Homer is difficult to get through.)
