Countdown to Leaky Con

WELCOME TO MUGGLETEEN

This is MuggleTeen, the first blog of it's kind, run by seven teenagers, about their love for Harry Potter. This supermegafoxyawesomehot blog is wizrock-tastic and full of the ramblings and rantings of me Megan (who is amazing and likes to make fun of Rob even though deep down somewhere he is a good person that she loves), Kate (the person who never posts), Annie (the Doctor lover...well, we all are, but...),Alyssa (who needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one xD), Katie (who also felt she needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one. I am not just 'a person!'), Sam (the anime lover and spider person who should maybe post now, yeah? is Thursday alright? -.-) , and Nicole (who has taken Sam's Spot on Friday and pushed Sam to thursday!) We're all members of the HPEF forums but that doesn't really matter now XD We are extremely excited to share our Potter-ness with the world and we will have many, many posts soon. So, until then, keep on Wizard Rockin'!!!

give `em the ol` razzle dazzle

how can they see with sequins in their eyes?

Ah, jazzy soundtracks, you are the foundation of my being.

So, I know this is irrelevant to you guys, but I just got my hair cut major-short, and it's beyond cool beans. It makes me sooo happy; I had four people ask to touch my hair today, and six who didn't even bother asking and just went for it.

So, I felt like throwing a bit of info about my experience at the HP Exhibit into this post (: I wore my 'wanted' Bellatrix shirt, a tiny feathered hat, and my Slytherin tie. ( I have a whole bunch of giant, poofy hair flowers and itty bitty hats. Oh yeah. You know it's sexy :B ) They have a person outside the door that asks trivia as you wait for your turn in, and at first I was all shy in the very back, but they said something about Bellatrix and I shot through the crowd to the very front. Unfortunately I was too late and the question passed D: But I spent the rest of the time at the front, raising my hand so much that I was even more endangered than Hermione of my arm falling off. The woman asking trivia found me amusing xD I got all the questions right, might I add. She threw five "hard" questions at me rapid fire because I was so obnoxiously knowledgeable, and I just giggled and instantly gave her the answers. Eventually she stopped and said she was going to ask everyone else "BESIDES the Slytherin in the front." So she asked the rest of the crowd if Harry's parents were both wizards, and besides the gender issue of Lily being a witch, they are, and one girl in the crowd answered such. You know what the trivia lady said?
"NO. HARRY'S MOM --"
Get this. You ready?
"--WAS A MUGGLE."
.... Just, no. Get off your podium and let the real fans ask the questions, okay? Many headdesks were had. I was ticked, but luckily the door opened for my group and I got to go in the maaaagical.. hallway. As we went, the trivia lady was like, 'sigh, you would've done well in Ravenclaw.' Pshh. Slytherin for the win. It was a long hallway, but then there was a giant door which opened suddenly and a guy with a booming voice was like "HelLOOOO!" and freaked my mum out so bad xD So we went in and got to be 'sorted', which was awesome, and when he asked for volunteers I was jumping up and down with my hand raised, but he picked two other people first, both of which were Gryffindorly lame. So when he said he only had time for one more person to be sorted, I spazzed out so badly that the random guy next to me asked the sorter if he could please choose me x'D Oh lordy. So I was sorted into Slytherin, and then the guy actually swept the stool after I got off and was like, 'well, you never know if some innocent Hufflepuff is going to sit here next!' I giggled so madly xD I've never been in any sort of HP atmosphere before this (besides the HP7 release, but I didn't interact with anyone besides Crucioing them all at the end), and it was absolutely overwhelmingly awesome.

Ugh. So. Cool. :'D

So anywhozit, you may have been wondering How Nerdy Is Tasha?. Tasha's feeling a tiny bit lazy today, so I'll just let the this video answer that question for me. PS, I'm the pink one.

As for how I convinced the parents to let me go to Infinitus, mum agreed that we needed a vacation, and we haven't been to Florida in years, so she agreed that as long as I would help pay and find all the flight/hotel info, all was good. (I found out about Infinitus because, get this, it was an ad on ff.net. I was just looking up some good old fashioned family-fun Bellatrix fics when I happened upon a link that took me to the Infinitus page. Crazy, innit?) Then my dad jumped in and was like 'hayyyy guyyyyys, why not make this a trip for the faaaamily?' and while I dotdotdot'ed and wondered how on Earth the family could put up with my Pottering, my dad randomly offered to use the flight tickets he got for free, so the cost is happy, and.. yeah! I originally would never have dreamed that they'd agree, but I guess there's a lot more in Florida that can interest them. So... hurray!

By the way, guys, it isn't really clear with the coloring, but the word 'video' is actually a link, so go ahead and click it without the fear of it just being normal text. Rest assured, it is much more >D

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Randomly enough I started re-reading Harry Potter last night. But I am no where NEAR a fan as you all are.

Hi! I listen to mugglecast, so you know. Is pottercast any good? I got a taste of them in the helping haiti heal broadcast.

I personally like Pottercast more than mugglecast. I don't know exactly why, it might be because I listened to them first or because I think their humor is more my kind.

Oh my Gosh, Tasha! I got sorted too! But more of that stuff on Tuesday. ;] My family also wanted to make it a "family vacation", but I'm not sure it's going to happen. My little brother really wants to visit Universal, but I don't think he would be able to put up with the Harry Potter nerds. XD

I'm a fan of both MuggleCast and PotterCast, but I personally enjoy PotterCast more. I have no idea why, maybe it's because they're the first podcast I ever listened to. But everyone has their own tastes, so I can't say one is better than the other, because I absolutely adore both of them.
