Lumos!
I shall start my post off on a happy note (for me, at any rate). I has gots a snow day tomorrow!!! Gosh, I'm excited. I finally have a Wednesday where I can do absolutely nothing. Oh, wait ... I have dance. Shoot. There goes my do nothing day.
Next on my posting agenda: Helping Haiti Heal. I know that nearly all of the MuggleTeens have mentioned this, but I though I'd throw in my own two sickles. I wasn't able to make it to any of the live podcasts, seeing as I was studying for midterms, but I got to watch the recorded version on my way to Rhode Island last weekend. And, let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing and awe inspiring. Seeing how the money just kept stacking up, thousands per segment, took my breath away. The power of our fandom amazes me to no end. And then I read on The Leaky Cauldron the final tally ... $105,000. I am speechless. Three cargo planes full of vital supplies for the suffering victims of this tragedy are being sent to Haiti, all in the name of Harry, Ron and Hermione. I tried to explain the awesome-ness of all this to my twelve year old brother, and this is the response I got in return: Lebron James donated $105,000 dollars to Haiti! I then attempted to explain to him that Lebron James is, one, rich beyond belief and throws that kind of money away in a week, two, he's also extremely famous and is (I'm just making assumptions) entitled to do this no matter what, and three, our fandom is made of everyday people, the people you see walking to school or work. It is incredibly more impressive that the "everyday people" banded together to raise this amount of money for a tragic cause than one rich and famous basketball. So this is to you, my fellow Harry Potter Nerds. Cheers, and thank you so much.
And now, on a lighter note, my trip to the Harry Potter Exhibition! SQUEE! Let me tell you, it was absolutely freaking incredible. I can't even describe it properly. Seeing all of those props and costumes was dream come true. The only slightly disappointing thing was that they didn't have many of Luna's things. Oh! And I got sorted! It was awesome. This lady led us into a little hall with a stage where the sorting hat and stool were placed. She asked people to volunteer to be sorted and, being the kind of shy-ish person I am, didn't raise my hand at all. So she called on a couple of ten-ish year olds (the first girl was a Ravenclaw and the boy was a Gryffindor). She said she had time for one more person, but no one was raising their hands. I finally plucked up enough courage (it actually wasn't that hard) and stuck my hand in the air (I felt surprisingly like Hermione). Being the only hand raised, she of course picked me. It was actually kind of funny, 'cause she had been asking the kids their favorite houses and I was decked out in my Ravenclaw hat and tie. So she said "I really see no point in asking this, seeing as your plastered in the insignia, but what's your faorite house?" And I was sorted into Ravenclaw!!! Yaay! Nothing else really happened, except I saw a woman and presumably her grandson dressed in full-out Gryffindor robes. That was pretty cool. And I got an awesome DA shirt. So, in summary, the exhibit was supermegafoxyawesomehot! (PS: I know I didn't talk much about the props and the like, but it's a little hard to describe. And a bit too much to describe. =])
I guess I should answer my question now. Here goes nothing!
How did you convince your parents to let you go to Infinitus?
It started with some puppy dog eyes and a "Moooommy?" and kind of went downhill from there. Actually, I have absolutely no idea how I convinced them. It's a complete surprise to me. I think what really sold them was me paying for the registration. Oh, and my mom gets to spend the weekend outside by the pool in Florida. That might've helped a bit. Thinking back, I can barely remember telling my parents about the con, nevermind asking them to go ... Well, it has been over six months. Crazy that it's only five and a half away, huh? But I clearly remember actually registering and booking the hotel. I don't think I'll ever forget that particular moment.
The final segment of Tuesday! Kate's Song of the Week! And this week's song is ... (Not Gonna Put On The) Monkey Suit by Harry and the Potters! Who doesn't love these guys? Seriously, does anyone not like HatP? Well, on to the song. I got this song back in ... October? With my Priori Incantatum CD. It's all of their old songs, demos, and the like. I also got postcards with it, so that was pretty cool. Here's the link to where you can buy Priori Incantaum: http://harryandthepotters.com/store/
And here's the link to the song: It's not that great, but it's the best I could find. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTMt2Ybtg_o&feature=related
So, I guess that's it for me. Have fun at school tomorrow, guys! 'Cause I'll be out playing in the snow! *cackles*

WELCOME TO MUGGLETEEN
This is MuggleTeen, the first blog of it's kind, run by seven teenagers, about their love for Harry Potter. This supermegafoxyawesomehot blog is wizrock-tastic and full of the ramblings and rantings of me Megan (who is amazing and likes to make fun of Rob even though deep down somewhere he is a good person that she loves), Kate (the person who never posts), Annie (the Doctor lover...well, we all are, but...),Alyssa (who needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one xD), Katie (who also felt she needed a better parenthesis explanation, so she made one. I am not just 'a person!'), Sam (the anime lover and spider person who should maybe post now, yeah? is Thursday alright? -.-) , and Nicole (who has taken Sam's Spot on Friday and pushed Sam to thursday!) We're all members of the HPEF forums but that doesn't really matter now XD We are extremely excited to share our Potter-ness with the world and we will have many, many posts soon. So, until then, keep on Wizard Rockin'!!!

I like the site guys, but my only complaint is the background. First of all the light parts make it hard to see the text. Also the animation is very distracting and I don't like how it shows Danielle Radcliffe because that sort of lends itself to focus on the movies. It's not really that big of a deal but that's just my "two sickles", as you said. ;) Nice job on the site, I'm not usually much of a blog person. (PS- I'm fairly talented at graphics if you decide you want a new background.)
Hey guys three notes from me.
Nuttynicole: Totally agree with you on the animation and how hard it is to see the text.
Harry and the Potters, LOVE THEM! I bought the 4 pack of CDs on their website and I'm waiting for Prior Incantatum at the moment. I do really like Not Gonna Put On The Monkey Suit though...
Snow day, NOT FAIR! I live in California all we have is rain. I can't really complain though cause I stayed home sick today.
